Chapterly is a product of Rovierr. It provides interactive lessons through the Chapterly app and chapterly.app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: chapterly@rovierr.app.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, and the phone number or email address you sign in with. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google.
- Learning activity: the lessons you start and finish, your answers, the time you spend on each question, your review schedule, XP, streaks, achievements and practice marks.
- Things you write: notes you add to lesson steps, and problem reports you send us.
- Courses and classes: the courses you enrol in, and any class you join with a code.
- Purchases: if you buy a course, a record of the order (course, amount, bKash transaction reference). We never see your bKash PIN or wallet details; you pay on bKash’s own page.
- Technical data: your IP address and device user agent, stored with your sign-in session, and server logs used to keep the service running and secure. We read your approximate country from your IP address to decide which sign-in options to offer, and we don’t store it. We store your time zone so streaks and reminders follow your local day.
- We don’t collect your precise location, contacts, photos, files or microphone audio. The app has no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.
How we use it
We use it to run your account and sign you in, show your progress, schedule reviews of questions you missed, keep your streaks and goals, sync downloads, process purchases, answer support requests and keep the service secure.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare: hosting, database, storage and logs.
- Amazon Web Services: sending sign-in emails.
- SMS.net.bd: sending sign-in text messages.
- bKash: payments, when you buy a course.
- Google: only if you choose Google sign-in.
We don’t sell your data.
Teachers and institutions
If you join a class, your teacher can see class totals. A teacher sees an individual student’s answers only where the institution has confirmed consent and the student has acknowledged a notice in the app.
Reminders
Reminders are scheduled on your device. We don’t use push notification tokens.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete your notes at any time in the app. To delete your account and the data linked to it, visit chapterly.app/delete-account or email chapterly@rovierr.app. We delete account data within 30 days of confirming the request, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records.
Security
All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Who Chapterly is for
Chapterly is designed for secondary school students and older.
